What this means. If your head of institution submitted your details and you were deployed, your CP2 letter shows your centre and role. If you were not nominated, there is no open public window to join 2026 supervision and invigilation at this stage.
How to Apply for Invigilation of Exams 2026: Where the Process Stands
In 2026, invigilators are nominated and deployed through the CP2 system, not hired through an open advert.
- KCSE supervisors — serving secondary school teachers employed or registered by TSC, with at least a Diploma in Education. Senior teachers and heads of department are preferred.
- KCSE invigilators — serving primary school teachers employed or registered by TSC, with at least three years' teaching experience.
- KJSEA and KPSEA — invigilators need at least three years' experience. KJSEA supervisors must have supervised before, and KPSEA supervisors must have invigilated before.
- Nomination — heads of institutions and curriculum support officers submitted eligible teachers, and Sub-County Directors entered them on CP2 by 26 September.
- Deployment — done on CP2, which blocks posting to any school where you served in the last three years.
- If you missed out — keep your CP2 profile up to date and tell your head you want to be considered next cycle.

KCSE Invigilation 2026: Steps for Deployed Officials
Your appointment letter, national ID and badge are your pass into the centre every day.
- Log in — go to cp2.knec.ac.ke with your username and password, or use "Forgot password" to reset it.
- Download the letter — open the Dashboard, then Deployment, and click Download under Actions.
- Check your details — confirm the centre, role and sub-county shown.
- Declare any interest — sign the declaration of interest form through your centre manager. Officials with an interest in a centre are redeployed.
- Attend the briefing — centre managers and supervisors go first. Dates are set by sub-county across this week, with some announcements citing Wednesday, 7 October, so confirm yours with the Sub-County Director of Education.
- Know the dates — KCSE rehearsal Friday, 16 October; papers 19 October to 20 November. KPSEA and KJSEA rehearsal Friday, 23 October; papers from 26 October.
- In the room — phones stay locked outside under a security officer, invigilators stand at the back, and counterfoils stay attached to scripts until the paper's time is over.
- Attendance — the centre manager marks attendance on CP2 every day from the rehearsal day.
- Weekly rotation — KCSE supervisors rotate weekly and leave handover notes for the next supervisor.
The supervisor rate is commonly given as Sh680 a day, while figures for invigilators differ between Sh510 and Sh550 a day. Confirm the 2026 rate with your Sub-County Director of Education before relying on any figure.

KCSE invigilation steps: download the letter, declare interest, attend the briefing and report for the 16 October rehearsal.
What this is not. This is not a TSC job advert, and it is not KCSE marking, which uses a separate examiner process. It is also not a new nomination round. It covers what already-deployed centre managers, supervisors and invigilators should do between now and 20 November.

- Profile — check that your phone number and details on CP2 are correct.
- Phone — plan to hand your phone in for locking outside the exam room.
- Attendance — confirm with the centre manager that you are marked present each day.
