The 2026 national assessments are two weeks away. The rehearsal is on Friday 23 October and the KPSEA and KJSEA written assessments run from Monday 26 to Friday 30 October 2026. KPSEA (formerly KCPE) is for Grade 6, and KJSEA is for Grade 9. Check your learner's exact paper days on the KNEC timetable at knec.ac.ke or with the school.

How to use prediction papers well
A prediction paper only helps if it is used like a real exam.
- Timed practice — Sit each paper in one go, within the official time, in a quiet place. No notes, no phone.
- Marking schemes — Mark honestly with the scheme. Parents can help by reading out the answers while the learner scores.
- Weak areas — Write down every topic where marks were lost and revise it before the next paper.
- One paper a day — Spread papers across the days left. Cramming many papers the night before adds stress, not marks.
- Rehearsal day — Use Friday 23 October to learn the room, the seating and the instructions. Get a good night's sleep before each paper.

Predictions are practice, not leaked papers
Prediction papers are set by teachers and publishers to match the style and level of the national assessments. They are not the actual KNEC papers. Anyone selling "leaked" KPSEA, KJSEA or KCSE papers is a conman, and exam cheating can lead to cancelled results. Refuse anyone selling leaked exams, and report them to the school or to KNEC.
